Pumpkin Spice Playdough

Published October 26, 2012 by thespottedowl1

Star and I made play dough 🙂 We added pumpkin spice to make it smell “autumny” and we dyed it orange and green. Originally the plan was for purple but after adding the green food colouring I realized we were out of blue! So orange and green it was. This is a small batch and was just enough for Sun, Star and I to play. The pumpkin spice made our hands and house smell delicious.

Pumpkin Spice Playdough

1 cup salt

2 cups flour

4 teas cream of tartar

1 tbs pumpkin pie spice or all spice

1-2 drops food colouring

Combine all dry ingredients in a saucepan (if doing 2 colours, split into 2 saucepans)

Add water, oil and colour

cook over medium-high heat stirring constantly until the mixture forms a play dough like consistency and ball. This sounds weird but when it happens you will know.

Remove from heat and wait to cool.

Knead and Play!

Store in air tight container.
